In 2020, there was a project that crossed my path, an artist I’d never heard of before. Fast-forward to 2024, and it’s never too late to catch up on some R&B vibes. Denzel Wilson dropped his project, ‘Silhouette,’ and I was instantly intrigued.

Hailing from South Orange, New Jersey, with roots in Ghana and Jamaica, Denzel weaves these diverse influences into his music. It’s like a sonic passport, you can hear the warmth of the Caribbean, and the Reggae rhythms work magic on the soul. But there’s more… He draws inspiration from the sensual sounds of '90s Black music, blending old-school vibes with a fresh twist.

Picture this. It’s past 8 PM, the sun has set, and you’re sinking into your favourite chair. Denzel’s project becomes the soundtrack, the perfect mood for unwinding.
